Slowin’ Down

“What do you do all day?”

“Don’t you get bored?”

“You’re too young to retire.”

These are some of the most common reactions when I tell people I’m retired (and have been for ten years!).

I am continually perplexed at these comments. Were we born working? Why would I get bored with the freedom to do whatever I want each and every day? Summer job or summer camp? At the end of it all, would you rather have an extra dollar or an extra minute?

If you’re wondering what to do with yourself or just want to hang out, come join me as I enjoy the rest of my life without working.
