“What do you do all day?”

“Don’t you get bored?”

“You’re too young to retire.”

These are some of the most common reactions when I tell people I’m retired (and have been for ten years!).

I am continually perplexed at these comments. Were we born working? Why would I get bored with the freedom to do whatever I want each and every day? Summer job or summer camp? At the end of it all, would you rather have an extra dollar or an extra minute?
